As part of that dedication, we offer one-hour in-person or virtual AIA/CES or Omega-specific presentations. For in-person presentations, one of our experienced representatives will come to your location, provide lunch, give an interesting presentation, and answer your questions. Currently, Omega offers three AIA presentations:

Stucco and EIF Wall Systems

Learn about One Coat Stucco, Three Coat Stucco, and Exterior Insulation and Finishing (EIFS) Systems. After completion of this course, participants will be able to:

  • Describe the basic components, design considerations, uses, and advantages of three popular exterior wall systems.
  • Choose a system depending on the project needs.
  • Describe how these systems contribute to sustainable building projects.

Air & Water-Resistive Barriers

Learn about air barrier and water barriers, particularly fluid applied air/water barriers.  After completion of this course, participants will be able to:

  • Understand the basics of water-resistive barriers and air barriers.
  • Describe the basic components, design considerations, uses, and advantages of fluid applied water-resistant air barriers.
  • Understand basic application procedures.
  • Describe how changes in the building codes are encouraging air barrier usage.

Masonry Adhered Veneer

Learn about masonry adhered veneer. After completion of this course, participants will be able to:

  • Identify three key components of a successful masonry adhered veneer project.
  • Describe the advantages of using modified mortar for masonry adhered veneer.
  • Understand the requirements of different types of veneers.
  • Identify common substrates and their characteristics.
  • Recognize common failures and specify practical solutions for future masonry adhered veneer installations.
